Conditions of participation for guests

(effective as of April 4, 2022)

Declaration of consent under data protection law for the publication of personal data by The Boston Consulting Group GmbH (hereinafter "BCG") as the party responsible under data protection law in connection with participation in business@school

At business@school events, photographs are taken of the persons in attendance. These may subsequently be published as described below if the persons depicted have given their consent.

By submitting this form, the person consents that BCG may

  • their full name,
  • images and/or film footage of the person taken by BCG or contracted service providers in the course of attending business@school events, and
  • verbal and/or written statements made by the person in the context of attending business@school events

in the press, in the publicly accessible area of the business@school platform, on various social media channels of business@school (Youtube, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) as well as in publications (messages on the website; internal newsletters) of BCG and the business@school partner companies (the list of partner companies can be viewed here) in the context of the business@school project for information and advertising purposes to the public.

In the case of minors, the consent of a legal guardian is required. The consent form signed by a parent or guardian (available here) must be sent in advance to info@~@businessatschool.de and the original must be brought to the event.

Important Notes

  • Once information has been published on the Internet, it is accessible worldwide and can be found using search engines and linked to other information, from which personality profiles can be created under certain circumstances. Information posted on the Internet, including photos, can be easily copied and redistributed. There are specialized archiving services whose goal is to permanently document the state of certain websites on specific dates. This can result in information published on the Internet continuing to be found elsewhere even after it has been deleted from the original site.
  • Publication in social media channels also leads to transmission of the respective information to the operators of the social media platforms, which may have their headquarters in countries outside the European Union and the European Economic Area that do not have a level of data protection equivalent to that in Europe (in particular, the United States of America). Data processing by these providers is subject to their respective data processing practices over which BCG has no control, and the information submitted may be subject to access by local authorities.

By providing my consent by clicking the confirmation button, I expressly consent to these risks.

Revocation

This consent under data protection law (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) DSGVO) can be revoked at any time with effect for the future by the person concerned or, if he or she is not yet of age, additionally by the legal guardian(s). The revocation of consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent until the revocation. The revocation can be sent by e-mail to info@businessatschool.de or by mail to the address given in the imprint, or during the event by notifying a member of the business@school team. BCG will no longer use the aforementioned information in the listed publications after revocation has taken place.

In addition, the following rights are available under the legal conditions: right to information (Art. 15 DSGVO); right to rectification (Art. 16 DSGVO); right to erasure (Art. 17 DSGVO); right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 DSGVO); right to object (Art. 21 DSGVO); right to data portability (Art. 20 DSGVO); right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art.77 DSGVO).

Participation in a business@school event is not dependent on the submission of this voluntary declaration of consent under data protection law. Guests who have not given their consent will receive a name tag with a colored dot from us on the day of the event. This is intended to facilitate the work of the press representatives.

Further information can be found in the data protection notice for the processing of personal data at business@school (available here).
